Things He Says

Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I was a feminist. I questioned gender roles and gendered bodies (why do women shave?) throughout adolescence, and took classes that discussed gender studies. I found a like-minded community in feminist media outlets like Bitch and Jezebel during my sophomore year of college. Since that time, I’ve aimed to use my voice and knowledge about these topics to discuss the issues women constantly face. From the women who inspired me as a teenager, I aspire to share my passion for these issues with other girls, in turn inspiring young women to be unafraid, to pursue their dreams and speak up.

A class at Emerson on content marketing has provided the grounds to launch, propagate, measure, and maintain a blog—looking at analytics to isolate and iterate variables. I created the blog Things He Says to provide a safe space for women to share the misogyny they encounter on a daily basis. So far, my social media campaign has garnered tens of thousands of impressions, and I’m excited to see it grow!

Using past performance metrics, I also look at ways to catapult Things He Says to the next level, including rebranding, social media strengths and weaknesses, and civic engagement.
